Colder temps moving into Las Vegas Valley

Winds are expected to calm down Thursday, a day after a wind advisory warned of gusts of up to 50 mph, according to the National Weather Service.

Winds will come in at 10 to 20 mph Thursday, meteorogist Caleb Steele said.

The valley will cool drastically from recent above-normal high temperatures, with highs of 62 degrees expected Thursday and Friday. The weekend will deliver warmer temperatures with a forecast high of 67 degrees Saturday and 69 degrees Sunday.

No rain is expected for the rest of the week, but there is a “slight chance of showers” next week, Steele said.

Moving into a new week, the high temperature should remain in the 60s, the weather service said.
