Cooler temps in Las Vegas Valley for the weekend

The Las Vegas Valley will finally see a break from 100-degree highs this weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

Friday will kick off the cooling trend with a high of 100 degrees and gathering clouds. On Friday night a storm system will pass over the valley, bringing a slight chance for thunderstorms.

Temperatures will keep dropping over the weekend, with an expected high of 97 on Saturday and 92 on Sunday. Highs will rise again going into next week, but should stay below 100 degrees for Monday and Tuesday.
