Cooler temps, wind expected in Las Vegas Valley

Chances for weekend showers in the Las Vegas Valley have vanished, but residents should prepare for a chillier, windier end to the week, the National Weather Service said.

A cold front moving into the valley Friday will generate windy conditions Thursday evening into Friday morning that could gust up to 45 mph.

Temperatures Tuesday through Thursday should remain near 85 degrees, but when the “cold front comes through, behind it will be the cooler air coming in,” meteorologist Chris Outler said.

Friday’s forecast high is 80, followed by highs of 76 and 82 on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
