Drier, warmer week ahead in Las Vegas Valley

The Las Vegas Valley should dry out next week, according to the National Weather Service.

Saturday’s high reached 99 degrees, with a 10 percent chance for rain through the evening, the weather service said. Sunday should reach 100 with light winds forecast in the morning, meteorologist Alex Boothe said.

No rain is in the forecast until Friday, when there will be a 10 percent chance, Boothe said.

Monday will be sunny with a forecast high of 104 degrees, and temperatures will rise gradually throughout the week, with 104 degrees forecast on Tuesday, 107 degrees on Wednesday, 106 degrees Thursday and 107 degrees on Friday, the weather service said.

Winds are expected to be under 10 mph throughout the week, Boothe said.
