Dry week ahead for the Las Vegas Valley

Updated August 13, 2017 - 8:05 pm

The Las Vegas Valley can expect a warm and dry week, according to the National Weather Service.

Sunday reached 104 degrees, and Monday’s high should drop to 100 degrees, meteorologist Barry Pierce said.

A cool front will sweep through the valley early next week and cause temperatures to dip below 100, Pierce said. Tuesday’s forecast high is 96 degrees and Wednesday’s is 98 degrees.

Pierce called the slight dip a “break” for the monsoon season.

Thursday resumes above-100 temperatures, coming in at 101 degrees, and the weekend will reach an average high of 103 degrees.
