Expect rain and chilly temps in the valley through Monday

The Las Vegas Valley can expect chilly temperatures and rain Sunday and Monday, according to the National Weather Service.

Saturday saw a high of 76 and a low of 63, meteorologist John Salmen said.

There is a 60 percent chance of rain late Saturday night through Sunday morning, Salmen said. Sunday is expected to have a high of 57 degrees in the morning and a low of 66 degrees into the afternoon.

Cloudy skies Saturday night will continue through Sunday and may scatter for a partly cloudy Monday, Salmen said.

The rain will pick back up late Sunday night through Monday afternoon, and the temperatures are expected to drop even lower, according to the weather service.

Winds of up to 40 mph are expected Sunday, the weather service said. Come Monday, the wind speeds will drop to 15 mph, and the expected high is 61 degrees.

Temperatures will pick up with Tuesday’s high of 67 degrees, Salmen said. The remainder of the week is expected to be dry with temperatures in the high 70s. But, there is a possibility of more rain or wind next weekend.
