Las Vegas temps to drop over Thanksgiving weekend

Thanksgiving Day in the valley should be cool with mostly sunny skies, according to the National Weather Service.

The high temperature Thursday will reach 63 degrees and cool down to 44 degrees Thanksgiving night, meteorologist Chris Outler said.

Highs should stay in the lower 60s through the weekend with a high of 62 degrees Friday and 64 degrees Saturday. Forecast highs will drop about 10 degrees by the turn of the new week. Sunday should reach 55 degrees, Monday 56 degrees and Tuesday 59, according to the weather service.

“A good bit of next week will be in the 50s,” Outler said. “We’ll be in a weather pattern that will keep us on the cooler side of things.”

The Las Vegas Valley may see some showers Sunday with a 20 percent chance of rain. Chance of showers should drop to 10 percent by Monday.

Snow could fall on Mount Charleston, “especially on Sunday,” due to the rain, Outler said.
