Las Vegas Valley temps will dip slightly over weekend

The Las Vegas Valley will cool off slightly over the weekend before temperatures begin to rise again next week, according to the National Weather Service.

Friday was hot and sunny with a high of 106 degrees. Highs will begin to drop, with a 104 degrees expected for Saturday and a breezy 100-degree forecast for Sunday.

Saturday and Sunday are expected winds between 15 to 25 miles per hour which is unusual this time of year, meteorologist Stan Cyzyk said.

Such winds are more common in spring and fall, and more typically occur when the valley has thunderstorms, Cyzyk said.

Monday will stay at 100 degrees before the valley warms up again with a 103 degrees forecast for Tuesday and 105 for the rest of the week.
