Rain and wind forecast this weekend in the Las Vegas Valley

The Las Vegas Valley will see wind and rain over the weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

The valley saw a high of 64 degrees Friday, and a similar high of 65 degrees is expected Saturday, meteorologist John Adair said.

Winds will pick up Saturday afternoon with gusts about 40 to 50 miles per hour, Adair said. By Sunday morning, winds should die down, but there is a 40 percent chance of rain.

Sunday should reach a high of 55 degrees Sunday, about 10 degrees below average, Adair said.

Winds will die down at the start of the week, but temperatures will stay chilly with a forecast 55-degree high for Monday and Tuesday, he said.
