Rain possible in Las Vegas Valley on Friday

Look to the northern valley mountains for a possible light show on Thursday as there are chances for thunderstorms and showers, the National Weather Service said.

There’s only a “very slight chance” that those showers will affect anything other than the mountains until Friday when the valley could see thunderstorms, meteorologist Caleb Steele said. The weather service projects those chances to be at about 30 percent.

High temperatures for Thursday were projected to be about 80 degrees or 11 degrees below average, Steele said.
