Strong winds in Las Vegas knock down power lines

Strong winds knocked power lines down Saturday afternoon, leaving almost 2,000 NVEnergy customers without power.

The Las Vegas Fire Department is responding to the area of West Sahara Avenue and Richfield Boulevard because of wire and power lines down in the area.

By 3:30 p.m., the number of customers without power was down to about 600.
