Temperatures climbing, heating up Las Vegas Valley

Las Vegas Valley residents saw warmer weather Wednesday, and temperatures promise to be even hotter by the weekend.

Wednesday saw a high temperature of 86 degrees with a low of 69 degrees, National Weather Service meteorologist Jim Harrison said.

Thursday’s high temperature is expected to be 93 degrees, and Friday’s high is likely to be 98 degrees, he said.

Saturday and Sunday are expected to have high temperatures in the 90s and wind speeds ranging from 10-20 mph, Harrison said.

Rain is not expected for the next week with “pretty much just sunshine” in store for the Las Vegas Valley, National Weather Service meteorologist Nathan Foster said.
