Temperatures heat up for Las Vegas Valley weekend

The Las Vegas Valley will be warmer over the weekend and could see rain in the week ahead, according to the National Weather Service.

Friday saw a high of 92 degrees, meteorologist John Adair said. Temperatures continue to rise with a 95-degree high on Saturday and 98 on Sunday.

The valley should cool down slightly at the start of next week, with a 96-degree high forecast for Monday and a small chance for rain on Tuesday, the weather service said.

Tuesday will see a high of 87 degrees with increasing clouds and a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms through Wednesday, Adair said.

Wednesday’s high is expected to be 91 degrees. By Thursday, temperatures will rise to 92 degrees, and winds could reach 30 mph gusts, he said.
