Temps fall as wet weather moves in next week

The valley will see a few more warm days before a slight chance of rain returns, the National Weather Service said.

Sunday had a high temperature of 106 degrees and 15 mph winds with gusts about 25 mph, meteorologist John Adair said.

The week will begin with a 106-degree high on Monday and light breezes, before cooling down. Tuesday’s forecast high is 104 degrees, he said.

Wednesday will have a slightly cooler high of 97 and will have a 20 percent chance of thunderstorms in the eastern valley, Adair said.

Temperatures for the rest of the week are forecast at 100 degrees on Thursday, 104 on Friday and 107 on Saturday, the weather service said.
