Thunderstorms possible this week in Las Vegas Valley

Temperatures could dip below 100 degrees later this week as another round of thunderstorms passes over the Las Vegas Valley.

Tuesday should stay dry and mostly sunny with a high of 106, according to the National Weather Service.

There’s a 10 percent chance for thunderstorms in the valley on Wednesday, though rain is more likely to fall over the Spring Mountains. Wednesday should see a morning low near 84 and a high near 102.

Thursday’s high will drop to 99 with a morning low near 83, the weather service said, ending what could be a 25-day streak of triple-digit highs in the valley. The weather service has forecast a 20 percent chance for thunderstorms Thursday afternoon and evening.

The valley should dry out on Friday as the high rises to 103, the weather service said. Saturday and Sunday will be sunny and hot with highs near 107 forecast for both days.
