Warm, sunny weekend ahead for Las Vegas Valley
Residents can expect a warm and sunny weekend before the valley starts to cool down again, according to the National Weather Service.
Friday saw sunny skies and a high of 100 degrees. Temperatures will rise slightly with a forecast high of 102 degrees for both Saturday and Sunday.
A low-pressure system will move over the valley at the start of next week, and will bring cooler temperatures and some winds up to 20 mph, meteorologist Jim Harrison said.
By Wednesday, the valley will have a high of 89 degrees, roughly 6 degrees cooler than normal, Harrison said.
