January 3, 2017 - 8:24 am
Temperatures are expected to rise until a cold front moves into the Las Vegas Valley on Friday, the National Weather Service said.
The valley had cloudy skies and a 57-degree high Tuesday, meteorologist Jim Harrison said.
Wednesday’s forecast high should be 60 degrees and skies will be mostly sunny, he said.
Winds are expected to pick up Thursday with 15 to 20 mph breezes, the Weather Service said. The high will be near 63 degrees, about 6 degrees above normal.
The high is expected to drop to about 51 degrees Friday as a cold front moves over the valley. Saturday’s forecast high is 55 degrees; temperatures will be back up Sunday with a high of 60 degrees.
A 20 percent chance of rain is forecast for the valley Sunday, Harrison said.
