Warmer temps staying in the Las Vegas Valley

The Las Vegas Valley should see some unseasonably warm temperatures over the weekend and into next week, the National Weather Service said.

Sunday’s forecast high is 66 degrees with “sunny skies and patches of high clouds,” meteorologist Caleb Steele said. Temperatures for the start of the new week are about 10 degrees warmer than usual with lows in the upper 40s. Monday’s high temperature should be 64 degrees; 68 degrees Tuesday; 66 degrees Wednesday and 62 degrees Thursday.

The valley’s forecast highs will begin to “level off with normal temperatures” by Friday when a 20 percent chance of showers head into Las Vegas, Steele said. The forecast high is 59 degrees.

The next few days should be warm and clear with breezes coming in from the southwest at 20 to 25 mph at midweek, the Weather Service said.
