ROUNDUP: Crofford helps Desert Oasis girls top Mustangs in quarterfinal
Amanda Crofford rolled a 248 game inside a 603 series Tuesday to help Desert Oasis’ girls bowling team to a 7-2 win over Shadow Ridge in a Sunset Region quarterfinal at The Orleans.
The Diamondbacks advance to meet Northwest League champion Arbor View in Wednesday’s semifinals. The Aggies, led by Andie Szekely’s 625 series, were 9-0 winners over Sierra Vista.
Centennial knocked off Southwest League champion Bonanza, 7-2, and will meet Cimarron-Memorial — a 7-2 winner over Durango — in the other Sunset semfinal.
In the Sunrise Region, Northeast League champion Eldorado posted a narrow 6-3 win over Coronado. The Sundevils’ total pin count of 1,603 was two more than the Cougars’ total.
Eldorado will meet Basic — a 9-0 winner over Rancho — in one semifinal.
Southeast League champion Liberty got a 221 game from Mahulia Ulrich and posted the two best team games on the day en route to a 9-0 sweep of Chaparral. The Patriots have a semifinal date with Tech, a 7-2 winner over Las Vegas.
