Sharp, Mountain Lions top Pahrump

Sierra Vista's Akil Sharp rushed for 201 yards on 14 carries, including three touchdowns, to lead the Mountain Lions (5-5, 4-3 Southwest) to a 40-10 road victory over Pahrump Valley (1-9, 0-7) on Thursday.

Garland Latham ran for two touchdowns for Sierra Vista, which led 20-0 after the first quarter and 33-3 at halftime.

Jeremy Green completed 6 of 8 passes for 85 yards and ran for a touchdown for the Mountain Lions, who will visit Palo Verde in the first round of the Sunset Region playoffs next week.
