Turner’s touchdown gives Chaparral win over Canyon Springs

Chaparral's Jermal Turner scored on a quarterback keeper from 4 yards out with 39.5 seconds left in the game to give the Cowboys (2-2, 1-0 Northeast) a 23-20 win over visiting Canyon Springs (0-3, 0-1) on Friday night.

Running backs Isaiah Washington and Pierre Jones both ran for more than 100 yards for the Cowboys. Washington ran for 123 yards and a score. Jones ran for 119 yards and a score.

Pioneer quarterback Mike McWilliams threw for 141 yards, including an 80-yard scoring strike to wideout Jonathon James.
