Baseball play-in games set for Foothill-Rancho, Bonanza-Centennial
The Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association has determined the sites and times for two baseball play-in games that were needed when the Northwest and Southeast Leagues concluded play Thursday.
In the Southeast League, Foothill and Rancho tied for the final playoff spot and will compete in a play-in game at 6 p.m. Friday at Basic. The winner of that game will be the league’s No. 4 seed for and will travel to Liberty on Tuesday to begin the Sunrise Region playoffs.
In the Northwest League, Bonanza and Centennial tied for the final playoff spot and will compete in a play-in game at 3 p.m. Saturday at Cimarron-Memorial. The winner of that game will be the league’s No. 4 seed and will travel to Bishop Gorman on Tuesday to begin the Sunset Region playoffs.
All other seeds in Southern Nevada’s Division I and I-A baseball playoffs have been finalized.
They are:
Northwest — 1) Desert Oasis; 2) Cimarron; 3) Arbor View
Southwest — 1) Gorman; 2) Shadow Ridge; 3) Durango; 4) Palo Verde
Northeast — 1) Liberty; 2) Silverado; 3) Las Vegas; 4) Canyon Springs
Southeast — 1) Basic; 2) Green Valley; 3) Coronado
I-A Sunrise — 1) Boulder City; 2) Tech; 3) Chaparral; 4) Moapa Valley
I-A Sunset — 1) Faith Lutheran; 2) Spring Valley; 3) Sierra Vista; 4) Pahrump Valley
