Four more locals selected in draft

Four players with local ties were chosen Wednesday in the baseball draft.
Rancho High School shortstop Brandon Pletsch went in the 34th round to the Philadelphia Phillies.
 
Pletsch, who has signed with UNLV, was a first-team all-state pick this season after batting .504 with five home runs and 56 RBIs.
Central Florida right-hander Chase Bradford, a former Silverado High School and College of Southern Nevada standout, was taken by the New York Mets in the 35th round.
Sierra Vista catcher and UNLV signee Scott Tomassetti went to the Phillies in the 46th round.
The Boston Red Sox picked CSN right-hander/shortstop Sam Wolff in the 47th round.
