Outlook: The Trojans took their lumps last season and hope to be more competitive in Division I-A.
Nine players are back, and the Trojans are young with four seniors and six sophomores on an 18-player roster.
"The kids are competing for starting varsity spots every day in practice," Hayes said. "If the kids continue to compete in practice every day, we expect to have one of the better years PVHS baseball has had in a long time. Our coaching staff is excited."
