ROUNDUP: Four early runs help Legacy hold off Cimarron

Adam Thompson was 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs to lead Legacy to a 7-3 home victory over Cimarron-Memorial on Wednesday.

Alex Wenzel doubled and drove in two runs, and Pierce Skinner was 2-for-4 with a triple for the Longhorns, who scored four runs in the first and led 6-1 after three innings.

Zach Monticelli earned the win, striking out six in five innings.

Cimarron’s A.J. Hernandez was 2-for-3 with a double, and Nathan Hale added two hits for the Spartans.

Durango 23, Desert Oasis 22 — At Durango, Matt Grisnik’s one-out RBI single capped a five-run seventh for the Trailblazers as they outslugged the Diamondbacks.

Desert Oasis plated seven in the top of the inning to take a 22-18 lead.

Cameron Coombs’ three-run triple helped the Trailblazers complete the comeback. Coombs was 2-for-3 with a double, a triple, four runs and five RBIs, and Mike Neighbors went 4-for-5 with a triple, three runs and three RBIs to lead Durango, which had 21 hits.

Brennen Stott was 4-for-5 with four runs for Desert Oasis. Jossaiah Raval went 3-for-6 with a double, a home run, three runs and three RBIs for the Diamondbacks, who had 19 hits.

Sierra Vista 15, Spring Valley 9 — At Sierra Vista, Marquis Towers had a homer, a double, two runs and two RBIs, and Jake Hager went 2-for-3 with a homer and five RBIs to lead the Mountain Lions past the Grizzlies in a game called after the top of the sixth due to high winds.

Julian Cutolo added three hits, three RBIs and two runs for Sierra Vista, which scored six runs in the bottom of the fifth.

Tyler Kartler went 3-for-4 with two RBIs, and Aaron Blair supplied a three-run homer for Spring Valley.

Arbor View 9, Shadow Ridge 2 — At Arbor View, Zack Hartman tossed a four-hitter with 10 strikouts and went 2-for-2 with a homer, a double and four RBIs to lead the Aggies past the Mustangs.

Zach Quintana homered, Nick Urban doubled and tripled, and Tyler LeBaron added a double for Arbor View.

Michael Wager doubled for Shadow Ridge.

Bonanza 23, Clark 1 — At Clark, Kris Bryant went 4-for-5 with three home runs and eight RBIs to power the Bengals past the Chargers in five innings.

Kyle Cousineau belted a grand slam for Bonanza, and teammate Hunter Davidson was 2-for-2 with a home run and four RBIs.

Jordan Brennan went 3-for-4 for Bonanza, which scored 10 runs each in the second and fourth innings.

Davidson tossed a two-hitter with six strikeouts.

Centennial 19, Mojave 2 — At Mojave, Aaron Drizin was 2-for-2 with a double and four RBIs, Justin Gault went 2-for-2 with a double, and the Bulldogs scored 16 runs in the first inning en route to the five-inning win.

Cody Clark tripled and Blane Bevilacqua added a double for Centennial.

Brandon Smith homered for the Rattlers.

Bishop Gorman 17, Pahrump Valley 0 — At Pahrump, the Gaels scored 13 runs in the sixth on the way to the easy win.

Cory Welch had two hits, including a double, and drove in three runs to lead the offense.

Johhny Field (two RBIs, two runs) and Johnny Sewald (two runs, an RBI) each added two hits for Gorman.

Palo Verde 21, Cheyenne 4 — At Palo Verde, Christian Centrella was 3-for-4 with a homer and two doubles, and Dan Jaffe went 3-for-3 with two doubles to power the Panthers past the Desert Shields.

Chad Clemens homered, and Matt Hutchings went 3-for-3 with a triple for Palo Verde.

Spencer Suddeth earned the win with seven strikeouts and a walk in four innings.

Andrew Graham had two hits for Cheyenne.

Tech 19, Western 9 — At Western, Josh West was 4-for-5 with a triple, four runs and three RBIs, and the Roadrunners scored 10 runs in the second inning on their way to a rout of the Warriors.

Travis James doubled twice and had two RBIs, and Justin Vasquez was 3-for-5 with a double, three runs and two RBIs for Tech.

Javier Ruiz had two doubles for Western.

Henderson International 21, Agassi Prep 6 — At Henderson International, Keenan Gladd-Brown belted a grand slam in a 12-run third inning as the Wolverines routed the Stars.

Gladd-Brown added a double and finished with seven RBIs. Boomer Sherrill went 4-for-4 with two RBIs, and Logan Christie and Charles Pachas each had a double for Henderson International.

Jamal Holmes and Terrell Kemp each had a double for Agassi Prep.

Enterprise (Utah) 3, Virgin Valley 1 — At Enterprise, Utah, the Wolves scored twice in the bottom of the first inning and held on to edge the Bulldogs.

Jose DeSantiago went 2-for-2, and Jason Wittwer was 2-for-4 with an RBI for Virgin Valley.
