ROUNDUP: Paratore helps Diamondbacks unleash bats in win

Desert Oasis’ Joe Paratore went 3-for-4 with two home runs, a double and six RBIs as the Diamondbacks’ baseball team outslugged visiting Silverado 26-20 on Wednesday.

Cody Schmidt was 4-for-6 with a double, a triple, a homer and three RBIs for Desert Oasis, which also got home runs from Mike Maiello, Josaiah Raval and Jordan Compehos.

Barry Lasseigne doubled and earned the win for the Diamondbacks, who used a seven-run sixth inning to pull away.

Silverado’s Cameron Rosser doubled twice with four RBIs, and teammate Mike Meyers finished 4-for-5 with a double, a triple and three RBIs. Bryan Faucher and Marty Sifuentes each added a homer for the Skyhawks.

Shadow Ridge 6, Eldorado 2 — At Shadow Ridge, Mitchell Shields fired a three-hitter with 10 strikeouts to lead the Mustangs past the Sundevils.

Brady Hoskins went 2-for-2 with a triple, a run scored and an RBI for Shadow Ridge, which got a doubles from Ben Fitzhugh, Josh Roelofs and Demetrios Philippou.

Jonathan Rodarte had a double for Eldroado.

Sierra Vista 10, Foothill 4 — At Sierra Vista, Robert Lee and William Silcox each went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs to help the Mountain Lions beat the Falcons.

Tyler Burdett was 2-for-4 for Sierra Vista, which scored five runs in the bottom of the sixth to take a 10-4 lead.

Bligh Madris went 2-for-3 with two RBIs for Foothill, and teammate Anthony Lopez was 2-for-3.

Tech 18, Mojave 15 — At Mojave, Josh West went 3-for-5 with four runs and five RBIs as the Roadrunners outslugged the Rattlers.

Karl Myrvold had four runs and four RBIs, and Bryan Casas finished 4-for-5 with five RBIs for Tech, which got two doubles from Eli Peinado.

David Rowley was 3-for-5 with three runs and two RBIs, and Anthony Walker was 2-for-3 with four runs and five stolen bases for Mojave. Jordan Gainey added two hits and five RBIs for the Rattlers.

Arbor View 18, Western 3 — At Arbor View, Zach Quintana went 3-for-4 with a home run, a triple, a double, three runs and four RBIs, and pitched a five-inning three-hitter with six strikeouts to lead the Aggies past the Warriors.

Ryan Chen was 3-for-4 with two homers, a double, three runs and three RBIs for Arbor View, and teammate Tyler LeBaron went 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles and three RBIs.

Anthony Chojnacki was 2-for-3 with a stolen base and an RBI for Western.

Basic 13, Desert Pines 2 — At Basic, Tyler Long went 3-for-4 with a double and three RBIs as the Wolves routed the Jaguars in five innings.

Dean Gettman and Ryan Blatnik each went 2-for-3 with two RBIs for Basic. Teammate Kyle Silva was the winning pitcher and doubled in both his at-bats.

Adam LeClere was 3-for-3 for the Jaguars.

Bishop Gorman 14, Juan Diego (Utah) 2 — At Gorman, Jerrel Latham was 2-for-2 with a double, a triple and two RBIs to lead the Gaels to the five-inning win at the Bishop Gorman Desert Classic.

Cody Roper was 2-for-3 with a grand slam, and Justin Jones went 2-for-3 for Gorman.

Faith Lutheran 16, Westlake (Utah) 5 — At Bishop Gorman, Zach Skipper hit a home run as the Crusaders defeated the Thunder in the Bishop Gorman Desert Classic.

J.B. Eary, Erich Uelmen and Brendan Meyer each hit two doubles for Faith Lutheran, which scored 10 runs in the bottom of the first inning.

Liberty 9, Taylorsville (Utah) 7 — At Bishop Gorman, Jesse Keiser went 4-for-4 with a triple and three RBIs to lead the Patriots to a win over the Warriors in the Bishop Gorman Desert Classic.

Chris Bradford went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI for Liberty.

Mark Legusma was 3-for-4 to lead Taylorsville.

Mountain View 15, Sandy Valley 0 — At Mountain View, Logan Christie and Trent Van Kempen combined on a one-hitter as the Saints blanked the Sidewinders in four innings at the Spring Slam.

Christie had eight strikeouts in three innings for Mountain View, which got a triple from Trevor Van Kempen.

Reece Bowman was 2-for-2 for Mountain View.

Randall Spencer notched a double for Sandy Valley’s lone hit.

Mountain View 16, Indian Springs 0 — At Mountain View, Trevor Van Kempen pitched a one-hitter with 10 strikeouts, and went 2-for-3 with a two-run homer and two stolen bases in leading the Saints past the Thunderbirds in five innings at the Spring Slam.

Korey Wood went 2-for-2 with two RBIs and two stolen bases for Mountain View.

The Meadows 17, Indian Springs 5 — At Mountain View, Justin Diamond was 2-for-3 with a double, a triple and three RBIs to help the Mustangs down the Thunderbirds in five innings at the Spring Slam.

Brock Roadhouse was 2-for-3 with two doubles and an RBI for Indian Springs.

Bishop’s (Calif.) 33, Lake Mead 1 — At Mountain View, the Knights scored 21 second-inning runs to blitz the Eagles in three innings at the Spring Slam.

Kohl Simonds smacked two doubles and a home run for Bishop’s.

Laughlin 14, Mohave (Ariz.) JV 8 — At Mohave, Ariz., the Cougars rallied for seven runs in the top of the fifth to earn the win.

Averie Prosise tripled for Laughlin.
