ROUNDUP: Porter drives in winning run as host Panthers edge Mustangs

Palo Verde’s Zac Porter singled to right field in the bottom of the seventh to score Cody Schuster with the winning run as the Panthers escaped with a 4-3 home win over Shadow Ridge on Tuesday.

Porter was 2-for-4, and Dan Jaffe went 2-for-3 with two RBIs for Palo Verde.

Centennial 6, Cimarron-Memorial 4 — At Centennial, Casey Moses had a bases-clearing triple in a six-run fourth inning, and Michael Wagner tossed a four-hitter with 10 strikeouts as the Bulldogs downed the Spartans.

Bruce Lewallen had two hits and an RBI for Centennial.

Kevin Dorantes had a two-run homer for Cimarron.

Spring Valley 5, Durango 2 — At Durango, Aaron Blair tossed a one-hitter to lead the Grizzlies past the Trailblazers.

Blair struck out nine and walked six.

R.J. Randal and Jacob Schwartz each went 2-for-3 with two RBIs for Spring Valley.

Riley Smith had Durango’s lone hit.

Moapa Valley 13, Western 11 — At Western, Lane Stringham’s two-run double in the top of the eighth inning lifted Moapa Valley past the Warriors.

Matt Vallet went 4-for-4 with two doubles and five runs for the Pirates, who scored twice in the top of the seventh inning to tie the game.

Matt Guzman was 3-for-4 with two doubles and three runs for Western.

Liberty 9, Basic 2 — At Liberty, Manuel Menocal went 3-for-4 with a triple and an RBI, and Daniel Topps supplied three hits, two RBIs and a run scored to help the Patriots top the Wolves.

Dylan Rogers added two hits and an RBI for Liberty, and Andrew Kouroumousis pitched a complete game, giving up three hits and striking out five, to earn the win.

Faith Lutheran 15, Mojave 1 — At Faith Lutheran, Devin Chavez and Adam Finlayson combined to toss a no-hitter as the Crusaders routed the visiting Rattlers.

Josh Murtha, Michael Kinkenon and Devin Chavez each went 2-for-3 for Faith Lutheran.

Silverado 13, Del Sol 3 — At Silverado,  Mike Meyers went 3-for-4 with a double, a home run and seven RBIs to lead the Skyhawks past the Dragons in five innings.

Bobby Johnson, Trevor Johnson and Cody Adams each had two hits for Silverado.

Luis Grullon was 2-for-2 with a run scored for Del Sol.

Bishop Gorman 11, Fraser Valley (Canada) 7 — At Hadland Park, Joey Gallo was 3-for-4 with a double, a home run, two runs and two RBIs to lead the Gaels.

Tyler Rankin picked up the win in relief, allowing two earned runs on six hits in 5 2/3 innings. He struck out five.

Foothill 18, Tech 2 — At Tech, Dylan Ellis hit a double and a triple to lead the Falcons in a five-inning rout of the Roadrunners.

Gabby Soto, Jordan Stewart and Kyle Moyes each had a double, and Kris Soto, Garret Dobrolecki and Eddie Yaney each added a triple for Foothill, which used a 12-run third inning to pull away.

Travis James had a triple for Tech.

Sierra Vista 18, Pahrump Valley 5 — At Sierra Vista, Nick Kingham belted a grand slam with two outs in the bottom of the fifth inning to end the game.

Kingham finished 2-for-3 with five RBIs.

Julian Cutolo went 3-for-4 with a double for Sierra Vista, and teammate Scotty Tomassetti was 2-for-3 with a double and four RBIs.

Aaron Pike’s two-run triple highlighted a four-run first inning for Pahrump.

Desert Oasis 16, Clark 2 — At Clark, Brennen Stott went 4-for-4 with a double, three runs scored and four RBIs to help the Diamondbacks beat the Chargers in five innings.

Cody Schmidt was 2-for-3 with three RBIs, and Zane Killebrew pitched a complete game with five strikeouts and no walks to earn the win.

Arbor View 20, Cheyenne 3 — At Arbor View, the Aggies scored 11 first-inning runs en route to the easy victory.

Arbor View produced 15 hits, and winning pitcher Jason Smulo held the Desert Shields to four hits. Nick Urban went 3-for-3 with four RBIs, three runs scored and two stolen bases, and P.J. Gonzalez was 3-for-4 with two doubles, two RBIs and two runs for the Aggies.

Andrew Graham had a double for Cheyenne.

Northridge (Colo.) 6, Bonanza 3 — At Bonanza, Nick Perez went 2-for-3, including a three-run homer in the fourth inning that powered Northridge past the Bengals.

Dillan Ward, Doug Nale and Lucas Wedgewood each had a double, and Nale earned the save for Northridge.

Kris Bryant blasted two home runs, and Hunter Davidson and Jordan Brennan each hit a double for Bonanza.

Trinity 26, Spring Mountain 14 — At Mountain Ridge Park, Gage Neuwohner went 5-for-7 with a triple, a double and four RBIs to help the Thunder cruise past the Eagles.

Jon Wood was 3-for-4 with four RBIs, and Jamil Thompson homered for Trinity, which scored nine runs in the sixth and seventh innings.

The Meadows 16-18, Mountain View 3-2 — At Mountain View, Michael DeGori went 3-for-3 with two runs and five RBIs in the opener as the Mustangs swept the Saints.

Alex Capozzoli was 2-for-2 with a double and a triple, and Cortland LeBoeuf hit 2-for-3 with a run in the opener for Mountain View.

In the nightcap, Brian Fahey was 3-for-5 with a triple and four runs, and The Meadows had three pitchers combine to throw a five-inning one-hitter.

Lake Mead 11, Calvary Chapel 10 — At Lake Mead, Drew Erickson scored the winning run on a wild pitch in the sixth inning as the Eagles rallied from deficits of 6-0 and 9-6 to edge the Lions.

Alex Uceda had three hits, including a pair of doubles, for Lake Mead. Spencer Kowis and Bryan Scott each added two hits for the Eagles.

Justin Rodriguez collected a double and two singles, and Kapono Tanaka-Sanders added a double and a single for Calvary Chapel.

Beatty 17-13, Indian Springs 7-3 — At Beatty, Anthony Regalado went a combined 4-for-8 with a double and three RBIs, and also fired a six-inning two-hitter in the nightcap to lead the Hornets to a sweep of the Thunderbirds.

Beatty’s Shayne Boots was 3-for-5 with a double, a triple and an RBI in the two games.

Isaias Flores homered for the Hornets in the opener, which lasted five innings.
