BOYS BASKETBALL: Burton, Vikings top Gators

Cameron Burton had 30 points and 11 assists Thursday to help Valley’s boys basketball team to a 87-73 win over visiting Green Valley.
Spencer Mathis had 20 points and seven rebounds, and Taveon Jackson had 16 points and six rebounds for Valley.
Gerard Harden added 15 points, and Shea Garland contributed 11 points and 12 rebounds for the Vikings.
Tyrell Crosby had 20 points, 17 rebounds and five blocks to lead the Gators, and teammates Troy Cropper and Kris Nicholas each scored 17 points.
Eldorado 68, Basic 59 — At Basic, Darrion Daniels had 22 points, and the Sundevils used a 15-6 run in overtime to defeat the Wolves.
Daniels scored on a layup with 4.7 seconds remaining to send the game to overtime tied at 53. D’Quan Crockett finished with 20 points, and Jayveon Brown added 16 points for Eldorado.
Jared Meacham had 18 points, and Antraye Johnson scored 17 for Basic, which led 28-17 at halftime but had three starters foul out. Eldorado went 18-for-26 at the free-throw line, while the Wolves were 8-for-17.
Shelldan Slayton had eight points and 13 rebounds for the Wolves.
Foothill 74, Del Sol 48 — At Del Sol, Matt Rapp had 16 points to lead the Falcons by the Dragons.
Jalen Shepard added 10 points, and Torrance Littles, Jeron Bodin and Vincent Mondugno each scored nine for Foothill.
Kyle Collins led Del Sol with 11 points.
Coronado 79, Liberty 58 — At Coronado, Eddie Austin had 23 points and eight rebounds, and the Cougars used a big third quarter to defeat the Patriots.
Austin Morgan added 19 points and seven boards, and Braden Van Alfen scored 10 points for Coronado. The Cougars led 44-36 at the half and took a 20-point lead thanks to a 17-5 run in the third.
Elijah Graves led Liberty with 16 points. Joey Schibetta had 12 points, and Noah Jefferson scored 10 for the Patriots.
Durango 78, Shadow Ridge 57 — At Durango, Drew Hammond had 21 points on 8 of 11 shooting from the field to lead the Trailblazers by the Mustangs.
Hammond made 5 of 8 3-pointers, and teammate Darryl Gaynor added 20 points and 10 rebounds for Durango, which led only 27-21 at the half.
Serph Decker had 21 points, and Preston Echols added 10 points for Shadow Ridge.
Las Vegas 83, Rancho 52 — At Las Vegas, Re’Kwon Smith scored 21 of his 26 points in the first half as the Wildcats routed the Rams.
Patrick Savoy added 21 points, and Devon Colley scored 10 for Las Vegas.
Jaylin Gaston led Rancho with 15 points. Lamont Traylor added 13 points, and Chrys Jackson scored 11 for the Rams.
Arbor View 82, Spring Valley 61 — At Spring Valley, Justin Burks had 26 points, and the Aggies cruised past the Grizzlies.
Terrell Butler finished with 14 points, Charles Porter added 12 points and Isaiah Simmons pitched in with 10 points for Arbor View, which had 12 players score. The Aggies led 43-28 at halftime.
Terrell Lee led Spring Valley with 18 points, and teammate DeVante Moten had 13 points.
Canyon Springs 60, Silverado 37 — At Silverado, Jordan Davis scored 15 points to lead the Pioneers by the Skyhawks.
Brandon Edmond added 10 points for Canyon Springs, which led 26-13 at the half.
Joe Baldi paced Silverado with 16 points.
Adelson School 69, Liberty Baptist 38 — At Adelson School, Jacob Elharar had 12 points, 10 assists and 10 steals to help the Lions top the Eagles.
Jake Buchman had 21 points, and Sean Perry scored 17 for Adelson School, which got 11 points from Francis Ventura.
Ryan Baldwin had 12 points, and Jordan Griffin scored 10 for Liberty Baptist.
