Gorman’s Muhammad to play in national showcase

Bishop Gorman junior Shabazz Muhammad was selected to play in the All-American Championship on Sunday at the Campbell Center in Houston.

Muhammad, a swingman, will play for the West team in the second game of a doubleheader at 1:45 p.m. Sunday. The game will be streamed live by ESPN3.com and shown on tape delay by ESPNU at 6 p.m. Sunday.

Muhammad averaged 25.1 points and 7.7 rebounds this season to lead Gorman (25-6) to the Sunset Region title.
