2013 record: 5-4 (4-3 Southern League, fifth)

Returning starters: four offense, four defense

Top defensive players: DL Andrew Estes (Jr.)

Outlook: Laughlin just missed out on the playoffs last season after finishing one game over .500.

Unfortunately, graduation hit the Cougars hard as they lost nearly all of their offensive production from last season.

Andrew Estes returns to anchor the defensive line and looks to be one of the leaders on a young team that returns four starters on each side of the ball.

Jim Estes, who’s entering his first season as head coach, said it will be a “massive rebuilding season in 2014” because 17 of his 27 players are underclassmen.
