Big second half leads Panthers to win

Pahranagat Valley outscored Carey (Idaho) 20-0 in the second half to pull away for a 44-28 road win Friday.

Cody Hosier scored on a 3-yard run in the third quarter, then hit Kade Wadsworth on a two-point conversion pass to give the Panthers (4-0) a 32-28 lead.

Tyler Higbee scored on runs of 1 and 2 yards in the fourth quarter to help Pahranagat seal the win.

Pahranagat’s Chase Hansen rushed for 186 yards on 28 attempts, including a 62-yard TD run in the second quarter.

Hosier passed for 201 yards, including a 23-yard scoring strike to Kale Leavitt in the first period.

Pahranagat outgained Carey, 474-298.
