Cowboys trample Boulder City

Casey Acosta had 100 yards rushing and two TDs and 57 yards receiving and a score to lead Chaparral’s football team to a 68-21 win at Boulder City.

Richard Nelson rushed nine times for 106 yards and two scores, and Jerome Williamson added 46 yards on the ground and two touchdowns for Chaparral (4-3, 3-1 Sunrise). Williamson also completed 3 of 5 passes for 97 yards and a TD for the Cowboys, who led 41-14 at halftime.

Trenton Carmell was 6 of 10 for 40 yards and a touchdown and had a rushing score for Boulder City (4-3, 2-2). Teammate Logan Branscum had a 17-yard TD reception for the Eagles.
