Davis, Longhorns pick off win

Legacy defensive back Mason Davis returned one of his two interceptions 35 yards for a second-quarter touchdown, helping the Longhorns (4-3, 3-3 Northwest) roll to a 45-7 home win over Mojave (1-6, 0-6) on Friday.

Legacy led 21-7 at halftime and pulled away with a 17-0 third quarter. The Longhorns controlled the game on the ground, with D’Andre Hughes gaining 96 of their 211 yards rushing.

Mojave wide receiver Bryant Lewis threw a 15-yard touchdown pass to Devin Sims in the second quarter.
