Faga, Thunderbirds hold off Beatty

Sope Faga rushed for 126 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries Friday to lead Indian Springs' football team to a 31-20 win over visiting Beatty.

Faga scored on runs of 45 and 7 yards as Indian Springs (4-3, 2-2 Division IV Southern) built a 31-7 lead.

Troy Heath completed 13 of 24 passes for 124 yards, ran for one touchdown, and returned an interception 40 yards for another score for the Thunderbirds.

Jake Zamora threw two touchdown passes and ran for a TD for Beatty (2-3, 1-3).
