Fourth-ranked Jaguars rout Eagles

Desert Pines' Isaiah Morris ran for 159 yards and three touchdowns as the fourth-ranked Jaguars remained undefeated by beating visiting Boulder City 64-0 on Friday.

Andrew Gray scored once on the ground and once via a interception return for a score, and Trevor Nofoa had a TD reception and a TD run for Desert PInes (6-0, 4-0 Sunrise League).

Morris dominated the first quarter, scoring on the Jaguars' first offensive play, from 57-yards, and then again from 14. Another run helped to set up Gray's 17-yard run that closed the first quarter scoring.

The Jaguars then put their offense into overdrive, as Marckell Grayson hit Jordan Diggs on a 37-yard pass for a score, followed by a halfback pass for 45 yards from DeAundre Newsome to Jordan Simon.

On the Jaguars' added a 40-yard catch and run by Trevor Nofoa and a 51-yard TD run by Morris, giving Desert Pines a 46-0 halftime edge.

The Jaguar defense was equally dominant, allowing just one first down in the first half, and keeping the Eagles (1-4, 0-2) to just 38 yards for the game.

In the second half, with a running clock, Desert Pines started off strong, as Randal Grimes returned the opening kickoff 85 yards for a touchdown. Three plays later, Gray was sprinting to the end zone with his interception return, followed by an 11-yard run by Nofoa on Desert Pines' one offensive possession of the third quarter. The only offensive possession on which the Jaguars did not score was their final one.

Bryan Foster led the Eagles with 20 yards on 14 carries.
