Miele’s three TD catches help Wolverines beat Indian Springs
Henderson international's Chris Miele hauled in three touchdown passes, including two in the fourth quarter to help the Wolverines (3-5, 2-3 1A Southern) pull away from host Indian Springs (2-5, 1-4) for a 46-14 win on Friday.
Miele caught TD passes of 53 and 82 yards from Jay Sutorius early in the fourth quarter after Indian Springs had pulled to within 24-14. Sutorius ran for 100 yards and threw for 153.
The Wolverines built a 24-0 lead in the first half on Sutorius’ 76-yard return of the opening kickoff, a 6-yard run from Keenan Gladd-Brown and a 17-yard pass from Logan Christie to Miele.
Chris Laliberte added a 40-yard scoring run late in the game.
Indian Springs scored twice in the third quarter — on a 16-yard run by Dominic Smith and a 32-yard pass from Adam Reinke to Xavier Pena.
