Mountain View rolls to win over Laughlin

Adam Stacey and Tyrell Brooks each ran for two touchdowns and hooked up on a scoring pass Thursday to lead Mountain View to a 48-12 home win over Laughlin.

Brooks ran for 144 yards on 15 carries and completed 8 of 14 passes for 145 yards, including a 22-yard TD pass to Stacey just before halftime to give the Saints (3-7, 3-5 Division III Southern League) a 22-6 lead.

Brooks scored on a 17-yard run two minutes into the game to put the Saints up for good. He added a 75-yard scoring run 54 seconds in the second quarter.

Terrence Brooks added scoring runs of 12 and 15 yards in the second half. Stacey scored on runs of 4 and 50 yards in the fourth quarter for Mountain View, which racked up 271 yards on the ground despite playing the final three quarters with only 14 healthy and eligible players.

Tyler Furr had a 2-yard TD run in the first quarter, and teammate Coda Abbati scored on a 1-yard run in the fourth quarter for Laughlin (1-8, 1-7), which managed just 29 rushing yards on 10 carries in the second half.
