Taylor, Bengals oust Spartans

Bonanza's Jayveon Taylor had a rushing and a receiving touchdown, and Brett Doyle threw for 218 yards and two touchdowns as the Bengals (2-7, 1-4 Southwest) defeated visiting Cimarron-Memorial (3-6, 1-4) 31-14 on Thursday to end the Spartans' playoff hopes.

Scott Dore also had rushing (48 yards) and receiving (20) touchdowns for Bonanza.

Justin Davis ran for 236 yards and two touchdowns on 21 attempts for Cimarron, which attempted only two passes.

After Austin Rowe connected on a field goal to put the Bengals up 31-14 with 1:40 left in the game, Bonanza recovered its onside kick ran out the clock.
