Crusaders girls golf ninth after first round of Antigua National tourney

Faith Lutheran's girls golf team is ninth of 18 teams after Friday's first round of the Antigua National High School Invitational in Scottsdale, Ariz.

The Crusaders had a first-round score of 358 and trail tournament leader Xavier College Prep (Ariz.) by 60 strokes.

Faith Lutheran's Julia Becker is in a tie for 11th individually after shooting a 7-over-par 79. Bethany Wu of Diamond Bar (Calif.) is the individual leader with a 71. The tournament concludes Saturday.
