Bishop Gorman”s big men Chase Jeter and Stephen Zimmerman were named co-players of the year to lead the Review-Journal”s all-state boys basketball team. Jeter averaged 16.8 points per game and 10.8 rebounds, and Zimmerman averaged 14.4 points and 10.1 rebounds.
Reno”s Mallory McGwire averaged 21.8 points, 14.3 rebounds and 6.9 blocked shots per game, and collected her second straight Review-Journal state player of the year award.
