Mustangs advance to Connie Mack title after winning two games

The seventh-seeded Las Vegas Mustangs rallied with three runs in the seventh inning and added three more in the ninth to stun the No. 6 Desert Hills Thunder 12-9 in the Connie Mack state baseball tournament at the College of Southern Nevada on Friday.

Yemiyah Morris finished with 29 points and 13 rebounds, and host Canyon Springs survived a huge game from Green Valley’s Brooke Haney to pull out a 68-66 overtime win in the quarterfinals of the Class 4A Sunrise Region tournament.
