SUNRISE BASEBALL: Coronado’s Bellamy seizes moment

Corben Bellamy, one of two seniors on the Coronado roster, lined a single to center field with two outs in the bottom of the seventh to score Garett Lake and give the Cougars a 4-3 home win over Liberty in the Division I Sunrise Region baseball tournament.

SUNRISE VOLLEYBALL: Vikings post improbable rally, oust Coronado

Valley cleaned up its mistakes and started attacking the middle of the Coronado defense as the Vikings rallied to take the match in five sets, 15-25, 20-25, 25-16, 25-23, 16-14, to advance in the playoffs. The Vikings (16-8) will take on Green Valley at 5 p.m. Thursday at Foothill High School in the Sunrise semifinals.
