ROUNDUP: Diaz’s game-winning triple lifts Aggies past Spartans

Nichole Diaz tripled home Kristina Billante with the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning Wednesday to lift Arbor View’s softball team to a 4-3 win over Cimarron-Memorial.

Chelsa Baca homered for Arbor View, and teammate Savanah Webster was 2-for-3.

Winning pitcher Amanda Jones didn’t allow a run and struck out eight in six innings of relief.

Centennial 18, Faith Lutheran 3 — At Faith Lutheran, winning pitcher Lindsey Konopelko went 2-for-2 with a home run, three runs and seven RBIs as Centennial blitzed the Crusaders.

Taylor Huntly added a three-run homer in the Bulldogs’ nine-run fourth inning.

Shadow Ridge 6, Cheyenne 4 — At Cheyenne, Mary Jordan was 3-for-4 with a double and three RBIs to lift the visiting Mustangs past the Desert Shields.

Lindsey Galindo was 2-for-4 with an RBI for Cheyenne.

Legacy 13, Mojave 3 — At Mojave, Darcey Cochran and Sierra Pico each went 2-for-3 with a double as the Longhorns cruised past the Rattlers.

Tech 9, Del Sol 0 — At Del Sol, Tech pitcher Amanda Roark registered 16 strikeouts for the second straight day and tossed a three-hitter to lead the Roadrunners past the Dragons.

Nicole Lesniak was 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles and two RBIs for Tech. Vannessa Heard went 3-for-4, and Jordyn Roark batted 2-for-5 for Tech.

Desiree Orozco hit 2-for-3 for the Dragons.

Basic 3, Silverado 2 — At Basic, Marissa Ross had a run-scoring double and winning pitcher Lacey Romo struck out 11 to help the Wolves nip the Skyhawks.

Emily Galante had a two-run homer, and Riana Splinter went 2-for-3 for Silverado.

Coronado 11, Liberty 8 — At Coronado, Taylor Woodford’s two-run double broke an 8-8 tie in the bottom of the sixth inning as the Cougars handed Liberty its first loss of the season.

Woodford, who finished 3-for-3 with a double, three runs and two RBIs, later scored on Desmond Sanchez’s single as the Cougars rallied back from a 6-2 fourth-inning deficit.

Morgan Yuhas was 2-for-3 with a double, two runs and three RBIs.

Megan Patras was 2-for-4 with a double, two runs and an RBI for Liberty. Francesca Foti was 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI, and Nikki Blindeagle hit 2-for-4 with a triple and a run scored for the Patriots.

Durango 16, Bishop Gorman 0 — At Gorman, Jaexie Balilea was 2-for-3 with a home run, a triple, four runs scored and four RBIs as Durango routed the Gaels.

Nicole Herrera went 2-for-3 with three RBIs for the Trailblazers.

Mackenzie Tucky was 2-for-2 for Gorman.

Bonanza 22, Spring Valley 0 — At Spring Valley, Emily Osborn and Michelle Miller combined to belt five triples as as the Bengals pounded the Grizzlies.

Winning pitcher Courtney Spencer scattered five singles, struck out five and smacked a double for the Bengals, who scored eight runs in the first and seven in the second.

Clark 10, Pahrump Valley 4 — At Clark, Shannon Chapman went 2-for-3 with two RBIs, and Kaitlyn Szeles was 2-for-4 with two RBIs to help the Chargers beat the Trojans.

Anna Jaehn also had two hits for Clark.

Petra Beighley went 3-for-4 with two triples and an RBI for Pahrump.

Sierra Vista 21, Western 11 — At Western, Kalene Sales-Watkins homered, and the Mountain Lions took advantage of 15 walks en route to a win over the Warriors.

Palo Verde 11, Desert Oasis 4 — At Palo Verde, Erika Stratton went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs, and the Panthers exploded for nine runs in the fifth and sixth innings to run away from the Diamondbacks.

Missy McCormick, who struck out 10, finished 2-for-4 with an RBI.

Cheryl Iddings was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs, and Danielle Hearn went 2-for-4 with two RBIs for Palo Verde.

Boulder City 10-16, Mesa Grande Academy (Ariz.) 0-1 — At Boulder City, Karlee Koopman tossed a one-hitter with 11 strikeouts in the opener, and Dylan Scott fired a five-hitter in the nightcap as the Eagles collected a pair of wins.

Paxton Fleming was 2-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI for Boulder City in the opener. Melissa Stewart went 2-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI, and Meagan Snyder finished 2-for-3 with two RBIs.

In the nightcap, Taylor McKeever tripled twice with three RBIs and two runs scored, and Snyder batted 2-for-3 for Boulder City.
