ROUNDUP: Falcons’ Ishikawa breaks 1-1 tie with solo blast

Kylie Ishikawa hit a walk-off solo home run with two outs in the bottom of the eighth inning Wednesday to lift Foothill’s softball team to a 2-1 victory over visiting Palo Verde.

The Panthers struck first, scoring on Erika Stratton’s RBI single in the first inning. Stratton finished 2-for-2.

Foothill’s Palmer Bosanko raced home when Aricia Dami got into a rundown following a walk to make it a 1-1 tie in the fourth inning.

Melissa McCormick had 12 strikeouts for the Panthers.

Silverado 2, Desert Oasis 1 — At Desert Oasis, Emily Galante hit an RBI single in the top of the third and the Skyhawks held on to beat the Diamondbacks.

Silverado added a run in the fourth without the benefit of a hit when Mayra Gomez reached on catcher’s interference, went to second on a passed ball, to third on a throwing error and scored on another passed ball.

Alyson Kosinski threw four innings of relief, allowing an unearned run on one hit with four strikeouts, to get the win.

Morgan Hughes scored Desert Oasis’ run on a passed ball in the fourth.

Durango 5, Coronado 3 — At Coronado, Mindy Larson’s RBI triple in the eighth inning plated Marina Ybarra with the tie-breaking run as the Trailblazers edged the Cougars.

Durango scored once in the seventh to force the extra inning. Ybarra singled ahead of the triple Larson, who later scored on an RBI single by Samantha Juarez.

Juarez was 4-for-5 with a double, two runs and an RBI. Larson finished 2-for-5, and Katy Moore went 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles, a run and an RBI for Durango.

Morgan Yuhas was 2-for-3 with two triples, a run and an RBI for Coronado. Kim Dawson and Devyn Choltko each went 1-for-3 with a double and an RBI, and teammate Desmond Sanchez was 2-for-3 with a run for the Cougars.

Clark 10, Moapa Valley 0 — At Clark, Julia Hagen pitched a six inning no-hitter with six strikeouts and only one walk to lead the Chargers past the Pirates.

Jasmine Fukuda smacked two triples, and Anna Jaehn had a double, triple and three RBIs for Clark.

Julianna Thornock added two hits and two RBIs for the Chargers.

Green Valley 8, Valley 3 — At Green Valley, Chelsea Anderson doubled twice to help the Gators past the visiting Vikings.

Shelby Vickers added two hits for Green Valley.

Spring Valley 4, Faith Lutheran 2 — At Spring Valley, Nicole Matyskiel tossed a complete game, scattering five hits, and batted 2-for-3 including a bases-loaded triple to help the Grizzlies beat the Crusaders.

Katie Campo scored two runs and Giorgi Delio went 1-for-2 with a run and an RBI for Spring Valley.

Liberty 11, Rancho 1 — At Liberty, Rihannon Beck went 3-for-4 with four RBIs to power the Patriots past the Rams in five innings.

Breanna English got the win for Liberty, striking out six and adding a run-scoring single and a bases-loaded triple.

Francecsa Foti and Aleah Lacy each supplied a double for the Patriots.

Del Sol 11, Sunrise Mountain 1— At Del Sol, Christine Marshall went 2-for-3 with a triple and a run scored as the Dragons routed the Miners.

Shaena Martin was 2-for-3, and Brittany Belin went 1-for-2 with three runs for Del Sol.

Chaparral 10, Mojave 0 — At Chaparral, Andrea Bouschet pitched a five-inning two-hitter with three strikeouts and no walks to help the Cowboys down the Rattlers.

Chaparral’s Chase Marchello went 3-for-4, and Bouschet was 2-for-3.

Basic 10, Canyon Springs 0 — At Basic, Lacey Romo pitched a two-hitter as the Wolves beat the Pioneers in five innings.

Romo struck out 10 and walked one. She also went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBIs.

Leah Causey was 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs for Basic.

Tech 11, Desert Pines 1 — At Tech, Lauren Lesniak was 4-for-4 with a double and three RBIs to power the Roadrunners past the Jaguars in five innings.

Nicole Lesniak and Amanda Roark each went 2-for-3 with two RBIs. Roark tossed a two-hitter.

Megan Robbins doubled and homered for Desert Pines.
