ROUNDUP: Fourth-inning surge helps Gators hold off Falcons

Green Valley’s softball team took advantage of errors and scored three runs in the top of the fourth inning Tuesday on its way to a 3-2 win at Foothill.

Fenixx Henderson fanned six to earn the win for the Gators, who got a double from Autumn Owens.

Palmer Bosanko had an RBI single, and Hannah Stevens supplied two hits to lead Foothill, which scored twice in the bottom of the seventh inning.

Eldorado 3, Las Vegas 0 — At Las Vegas High, Ashley Jarzombek tossed a four-hit shutout and struck out eight as the Sundevils downed the Wildcats.

Keelyn Pacheco had a double for Eldorado, which managed only three hits but took advantage of five errors by Las Vegas.

Silverado 21, Basic 10 — At Basic, Riana Splinter went 5-for-6 with a pair of doubles, a home run and five RBIs as the Skyhawks outslugged the Wolves.

Madison Sisco went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run, and teammate Kaitlynn Crane went 3-for-5 for Silverado, which scored in every inning.

Coronado 10, Liberty 4 — At Coronado, winning pitcher Danielle Amato was 3-for-4 with a triple and three RBIs to help the Cougars down the Patriots.

Katie Dawson finished 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI for Coronado, and teammate Kiley Harrison went 2-for-3 with two RBIs.

Elie Brown was 2-for-3 with two RBIs to lead Liberty.

Tech 13, Del Sol 0 — At Del Sol, Ashley Ramsey went 2-for-3 with two runs scored as the Roadrunners blew past the Dragons in six innings.

Amanda Roark pitched five shutout innings with 13 strikeouts, giving up just two hits, for Tech.

Rancho 12, Valley 2 — At Rancho, Jacey Kelley went 3-for-4 with a triple and three RBIs as the Rams downed the Vikings in six innings.

Mackenzie Vega was 3-for-4 with a double, and winning pitcher Brandy Marlett fired a one-hitter with six strikeouts for Rancho.

Chaparral 20, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Chaparral, Nicole Lesniak and Lauren Lesniak each went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs as the Cowboys routed the Miners in five innings.

Katie Brown was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs, and Peyton Hunton finished 2-for-3 with two walks and four runs for Chaparral.

Nicole Lesniak tossed a two-hitter and struck out five.

Cimarron-Memorial 9-4, Westview (Ore.) 5-4 — At Cimarron, Carli Stafford went 5-for-5 with four doubles as the Spartans won and tied against Westview.

In the opener, Stafford went 3-for-3 with three doubles and four RBIs, and Sarah Murphy was 4-for-4 with three steals for Cimarron, which got two singles from Sarina Cresswell.

In the nightcap, which was called in the fourth inning for darkness, Creswell belted a first-inning two-run home run, and Murphy and Stafford each went 2-for-2.

Indian Springs 14, Lake Mead 2 — At Indian Springs, Baylee McCormick went 3-for-4 with two doubles, a triple and two RBIs to help the Thunderbirds breeze to a five-inning win.

Winning pitcher Brandi Bryl spun a two-hitter and went 2-for-4 with a triple and three RBIs, and

Cheyenne Noyes was 2-for-2 with a home run and two RBIs for Indian Springs.

Pahranagat Valley 24, Mountain View 10 — At Mountain View, the Panthers had just three hits, but took advantage of 15 walks and 12 hit batsmen to rout the Saints in five innings.

Savannah Alley went 2-for-4 with a double and four RBIs for Mountain View, which got a double apiece from Elle Germany and Rebecca Bennett.
