ROUNDUP: Gordon, Rollins help bats come alive as Gaels rally for tourney title

Alexandria Gordon and O’Sheyon Rollins each went 4-for-5 with an RBI on Saturday as Bishop
Gorman’s softball team rallied from a 7-0 deficit to defeat Centennial (Ore.), 10-7 in the championship game of the Bishop Gorman Tournament.
The Gaels, who pounded out 18 hits, trailed 7-0 after two innings, but scored three runs in the third, two in the fifth and five in the top of the seventh to complete the comeback over the Eagles.
Bishop Gorman 15, Arizona Lutheran 2 — At Gorman, winning pitcher Dayton Yingling was 4-for-4 with a triple, a double, three runs and two RBIs as the Gaels routed Arizona Lutheran.
Gordon went 4-for-4 with four runs for Gorman.
Centennial (Ore.) 10, Faith Lutheran 5 — At Gorman, the Eagles used a five-run second inning and took advantage of seven errors to tame the Crusaders.
Kelly Zufall went 3-for-3, and Ashley Gord was 2-for-3 with a double, two runs and an RBI for Faith Lutheran, and teammate Frankie Lee finished 2-for-3.
Faith Lutheran 12, Campbell Hall (Calif.) 0 — At Gorman, Gord was 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs, and Hayley Thomas tossed a three-inning perfect game as the Crusaders rolled to the easy win.
Thomas struck out two in retiring all nine batters she faced.
Maya Barnes was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs, and Nicole Tayrien went 2-for-2 with a run and an RBI for Faith Lutheran.
Centennial (Ore.) 17, Faith Lutheran 1 — At Gorman, Centennial pounded out 16 hits and routed the Crusaders in five innings.
Boulder City 6, Needles 1 — At St. George, Utah, Karlee Koopman went the distance and hit a two-run home run to lead the Eagles past the Mustangs in the Blue Division championship game at the March Warm-Up.
Koopman, who was the winning pitcher in four of the team’s five tournament victories, struck out nine in the title game.
Mountain View 5, Carlin 1 — At Mountain View, Taylor Nelson was 3-for-3, and Amber Gomez went 2-for-2 as the Saints beat the Railroaders in the Spring Slam.
Victor Valley Christian (Calif.) 11, Mountain View 7 — At Mountain View, Nelson was 2-for-3 with a triple in the Saints’ loss at the Spring Slam.
Lexi Alley added two hits for Mountain View.
