ROUNDUP: Roark sisters send Tech past Foothill

Amanda Roark recorded nine strikeouts, and little sister Jordyn Roark tripled to send home Sabrina Sawyer with the deciding run in the second inning Thursday as Tech’s softball team edged host Foothill, 2-1.
Jordyn Roark finished 3-for-4, and Nicole Lesniak went 2-for-4 with an RBI for Tech.
Cassondra Keven and Lauren Penksa each had a double for Foothill.
Liberty 7, Basic 1 — At Basic, Francesca Foti collected 10 strikeouts and hit a two-run homer and a two-run double to lead Liberty past the Wolves.
Carson Cooper’s two-run triple highlighted a five-run seventh inning for Liberty.
Brandy Huff went 2-for-4 for Basic.
Rancho 5, Sunrise Mountain 4 — At Rancho, Aly Lamboo tossed a no-hitter, striking out nine and walking two, and scored the winning run in the bottom of the eighth inning as the Rams rallied to nip the Miners.
Lamboo tripled in the eighth inning and came home on Daisy Valenzuela’s single to center.
Theresa Calloway drove in two runs on a triple in the bottom of the seventh to tie the game for Rancho.
Valenzuela had two hits for the Rams, who committed six errors.
Valley 12, Desert Pines 0 — At Desert Pines, Mickayla Romero tossed a five-inning no-hitter to lead the Vikings past the Jaguars.
Romero walked one and struck out nine.
Jasmin Villamar was 3-for-4 with a triple, an RBI and three runs, and Nicholette Corona tripled in her only at-bat for Valley.
Eldorado 9, Canyon Springs 5 — At Eldorado, Ashley Jarzombek earned the win with 13 strikeouts and was 3-for-3 with two runs scored and an RBI to lead the Sundevils past the Pioneers.
Taylor Schroeder and Megan Jaramillo each added two doubles for Eldorado.
Dari Carter had a double and a triple for Canyon Springs.
Henderson International 10, Lake Mead 0 — At Henderson International, Alyssa Ayers was 4-for-4 with three doubles to lead the Wolverines past the Eagles in six innings.
Lee Harrison hit 3-for-4 with two RBIs for Henderson International, which scored six runs in the third inning.
Hailey Schulz tossed a three-hit shutout with five strikeouts.
Two games postponed
The Green Valley at Coronado and Silverado at Del Sol games were postponed due to rain. A makeup date has yet to be determined for either game.
