ROUNDUP: Snyder, Spartans slip past Diamondbacks

Alexa Snyder wiggled out of a bases-loaded jam in the bottom of the seventh inning Wednesday to preserve Cimarron-Memorial’s 7-6 road softball win over Desert Oasis’.

The Spartans scored twice in the top of the seventh to take the lead, and the Diamondbacks loaded the bases with one out in the bottom of the inning.

Cimarron picked off a runner at first, but a walk reloaded the bases before Snyder struck out the final batter.

Sarah Murphy was 1-for-3 with a home run, three runs and two RBIs, and Kayla Johnson went 3-for-4 for Cimarron.

Gemma Perez was 3-for-4 with two runs and an RBI, and Mercedes Rios was 2-for-4 with two RBIs for Desert Oasis. Raina Ladislao went 2-for-3 with a double, a run and an RBI for the Diamondbacks.

Bishop Gorman 7, Bonanza 6 — At Bonanza, Ashley Witucki tripled twice, and Jasmine Gibson went 3-for-3 as the Gaels nipped the Bengals in eight innings.

Caitlyn Lloyd doubled twice for Bonanza.

Basic 5, Eldorado 4 — At Basic, Jessica Pittman went 3-for-4, including a key RBI single in the bottom of the sixth inning to help the Wolves edge the Sundevils.

Becca Pullen earned the win in relief for Basic, which got two hits from Leah Causey, and a two-run single by Jessica Clifford.

Deja Wargo was 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI to lead Eldorado.

Coronado 22, Del Sol 0 — At Del Sol, Danielle Amato was 3-for-5 with a double, a triple and two RBIs as the Cougars downed the Dragons in five innings.

Kiley Harrison went 2-for-4 with a triple and three RBIs, and Brooke Younie threw a three-hitter for Coronado, which was helped by 11 Del Sol errors.

Chaparral 8, Sunrise Mountain 2 — At Sunrise Mountain, Megan Gunler was 3-for-4 to lead the Cowboys over the Miners.

Maritza Velasco went 2-for-4 for Chaparral, which was helped by 10 Sunrise Mountain errors.

Natalie Sharp went 3-for-4 for the Miners, and teammate Sydni Beuchat was 2-for-4 with a triple.

Tech 19, Western 11 — At Western, Austyn Dziewit went 4-for-6, and the Roadrunners scored 16 runs in the final four innings to rally by the Warriors.

Jamison Bascom and Sabrina Sawyer each added three hits, and Jordyn Roark had two hits for Tech.

Amber Cosgrove and Miriam Del Rio each had two hits for Western.

Centennial 21, Legacy 0 — At Legacy, Savannah Horvath went 5-for-5 with a home run, two doubles and eight RBIs, and Alyssa Finger was 3-for-3 with a double, a home run and three RBIs as the Bulldogs routed the Longhorns in five innings.

Mia Acuna, Heather Bowen and Taylor Huntly each supplied a double for Centennial, which had 25 hits.

Kate Rauskin scattered three hits and struck out six to get the win.

Foothill 6, Liberty 4 — At Liberty, Sarah Maddox singled and tripled, and winning pitcher Aricia Dami helped herself with a double as the Falcons held off a late rally and beat the Longhorns.

Tiana Tapuala had a triple, and Hayley Freestone and Kelsey Camat-Toki each had two hits for Liberty.

Mojave 15, Canyon Springs 5 — At Mojave, Danette Daguiar went 2-for-3 with an inside-the-park grand slam to help lead the Rattlers to a five-inning victory over the Pioneers.

Edna Amapran-Ochoa earned the win for Mojave.

Emilee Kaye supplied two hits and two RBIs for Canyon Springs.

Boulder City 26, Desert Pines 1 — At Boulder City, Charlene Masterson tossed a two-hitter and drove in four runs to lead the Eagles over the Jaguars in five innings.

Kasey Ochoa had a double for Boulder City, which scored 10 times in the first inning.

Moapa Valley 11, Virgin Valley 1 —
 At Overton, Makendie Frei threw a three-hitter as the Pirates topped the Bulldogs in five innings.

Haley Nielson went 2-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI for Moapa Valley, which got two hits from Makayla Jackson.
