SOFTBALL: Spartans put on offensive clinic, down Crusaders

Alexa Snyder tossed a five-inning five-hitter and struck out nine on Tuesday to lead Cimarron-Memorial’s softball team to a 13-2 win over visiting Faith Lutheran.

Sarah Murphy provided a two-run home run and a triple, and teammate Carmen Hasbrouck had a two-run homer and two doubles for the Spartans, who got a solo homer from Rheanna Esparza.

Rosie Del Rosario also supplied three hits for the Spartans.

Cheyenne Kidd was 2-for-3 with an RBI double for the Crusaders.

Legacy 4, Basic 1 — At Legacy, Alyssa Sotelo hit a two-run single in the bottom of the fifth to break a scoreless tie and help the Longhorns beat the Wolves.

Hayley Pedersen tossed a four-hitter for Legacy.

Tech 6, Mojave 1 — At Mojave, Kimmie Rodriguez doubled twice as the Roadrunners beat the Rattlers in six innings.

Gizele Cascos tossed a five-hitter for Tech.

Danette Daguiar tripled for Mojave.

Sunrise Mountain 15, Canyon Springs 2 — At Sunrise Mountain, Andrea Garner tossed a five-inning four-hitter with eight strikeouts to guide the Miners to a win over the Pioneers.

Jazmin Pedraza had two hits and four RBIs, and Alexus Aragon supplied two hits and three RBIs for Sunrise Mountain, which got two hits from Brittany Miller.

Emilee Kaye and Karina Cavada each had an RBI single for Canyon Springs.

Silverado 19, Eldorado 9 — At Silverado, Arieana Monturio was 4-for-5 with a triple, two doubles, four RBIs and three runs, and the Skyhawks scored the final 10 runs of the game to top the Sundevils in six innings.

Sarah Ford was 3-for-4 with a triple, a double and five RBIs for Silverado, which led 9-4 after one inning. Eldorado rallied to tie the game in the fourth, but the Skyhawks scored once in the bottom of the fourth, three times in the fifth and six runs in the sixth to end it.

Jazmine Sorchini had two hits and three RBIs for Eldorado.

Boulder City 4, Pahrump Valley 3 — At Boulder City, Charlene Masterson tossed a six-hitter to lead the Eagles by the Trojans.

Amanda Pryor had a home run for Pahrump.

Foothill 12, Bonanza 0 — At Bonanza, Kayla King tossed a five-inning five-hitter to lead the Falcons by the Bengals.

Lincoln County 28-18, Calvary Chapel 0-0 — At Panaca, Chelsea Lloyd tossed a no-hitter and struck out 15 in the nightcap as the Lynx swept a pair of five-inning games from the Lions.

Lincoln County scored at least five runs in every inning of the opener. Aspen Wilkin spun a shutout and struck out nine for the Lynx, who got three doubles from Lloyd.

Jaycee Wadsworth had three singles in the second game for Lincoln County.
