VOLLEYBALL: Pochop, Roadrunners top Cowboys

Bryant Pochop had seven kills, three aces and three digs Monday to lead Tech’s boys volleyball team to a 25-22, 25-23, 27-25 road victory over Chaparral.

Eric Sebastian added 12 assists and five digs for the Roadrunners, and teammate Josh Wood had five kills, 13 assists and three digs. Juan Flores had four kills for Tech.

Jose Chavez paced Chaparral with 10 kills and 13 digs.

Clark 3, Western 0 — At Clark, Walter Regalado had five kills, 12 assists, 13 digs and three aces to help the Chargers to a 25-11, 25-21, 25-16 win over the Warriors.

Walt Benda added five kills, 10 digs and three aces, and teammate Henok Mucheye had five kills, three aces and three blocks for Clark. Daniel Pedroza added 12 digs for the Chargers.

William Riggs led Western with 12 assists and six digs. Christian Macias and Kristopher Poole each added four kills for the Warriors.

Del Sol 3, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Sunrise Mountain, La’akea Cabanas had nine kills, 12 digs and three aces to lead the Dragons to a 25-11, 25-19, 25-16 win over the Miners.

Andrei Santamaria added two kills and 11 digs for Del Sol.

Brian Ramos led Sunrise Mountain with 16 digs, and teammate Bobby Brass had four kills and three blocks.

Sierra Vista 3, Spring Valley 0 — At Sierra Vista, Chris McCoy had 11 kills to lead the Mountain Lions to a 25-16, 25-23, 25-11 victory over the Grizzlies.

Joey Harvanek added six kills, and teammate Brendan Cowden had 21 assists for Sierra Vista.

Troy Lance led Spring Valley with nine kills, seven blocks, four assists and four digs. Ben Colunga added nine assists for the Mountain Lions, who got four digs from Jared Tremblay-Barris.

Mojave 3, Cheyenne 0 — At Cheyenne, Jordan Glenn had 13 kills, and Jason Zambrano added 28 assists and eight aces as the Rattlers rolled to a 25-8, 25-8, 25-4 win over the Desert Shields.

Absalon Williams added seven kills and three blocks for Mojave, and teammate Clayton Fontano had five kills and five aces.
